inthegarden is inspired by the three gardens found within Scripture: the Garden of Eden, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Garden Tomb. Together, these three gardens tell the gospel story.

Eden marks the beginning, where life started but brokenness entered, showing our deep need for a Savior. Gethsemane shows Jesus intervening on our behalf, stepping into our mess, our repeated failures and moments of struggles. Then modeling a new way of living through surrender and the heart posture of a servant. Lastly the Garden Tomb marks the hope of new life, where Jesus death and resurrection makes it possible for us to not only become born again, but also live a life of victory through our acceptance of Jesus.

This gospel story is the root of everything inthegarden stands for, reminding us that faith is a journey of brokenness, surrender, and renewal. Like tending a garden, walking with Jesus isn’t perfect. Life will get messy. It’s work that requires patience and trust. But in time, all that effort, alongside faith, makes room for spiritual growth. Where through all the dirt of our struggles, something beautiful finally breaks through.
